At first the mind recoils at the thought of the world’s fate depending on Nazi Germany, but H.C. Wells’s compelling thriller, Operation Wolfe Cub: The Time to Tell: Book I will make readers rethink their revulsion. This re-imagining tells of the 1944 journey of a baby boy named Randolf from Hitler’s Germany to Devil’s Gulch, Maine. The people accompanying the child know only that he is the product of mysterious circumstances created by a Dr. Wolfe—“Wolfe Cub”—and that he will travel by ship to America. He is prophesied to bring about an era of peace.

I really enjoyed reading this book and had a hard time putting it down. The stunning visual descriptions make you feel as if your really there experiencing the story first hand. No one can deny the power of this novel and it's hold on the imaginations of multiple readers. Much like George Orwell's novel 1984 Operation Wolf Cub is one of 4 or 5 novels which has touched me in some way that transcends the conventional reading experience. H.C. Wells is a brilliant author and I for one cannot wait to see what's next.

Refreshing!
I started reading this story and couldn't put it down! It pulled me in and took me through twists I didn't expect. The characters are unforgettable, the suspense unpredictable and the unique story line winds you through twists and turns that will keep you guessing. This tale was written with all of the detail I look for in any historical adventure. But what is even more surprising for me was the element of compassion and nurturing in this story. These two elements give it a simple human quality that thrives through turmoil and heartache...It was refreshing to read a book with a combination of surprise that is based on a historical event I already knew so much about!

Page turner!
Operation Wolfe Cub captures your imagination from the very beginning. Immediately you are sucked into an adventure, secretive, important, and historical. You will find yourself asking so many questions and wanting to know more. As soon as you read, you will not be able to put it down without wanting to know what happens next. The book is not only intriguing and well written, but it is humorous as well. H.C. Wells has a unique writing style that is so descriptive and in depth, you can hear the ocean, imagine the characters faces, and hear their laughter. I am very particular about the books I read, and I recommend Operation Wolfe Cub with high regards. I can't wait for the next book! Well worth it!

When I first began reading Operation Wolf Cub, I had no real expectations of where it might lead. But, as I moved through the chapters, a direction emerged. This is a story about mankind and how through revelations of a yet dimly understood concept and truths, we as humans may begin the slow climb from our warlike mentality to one of better appreciation of one another and eventually to a love for one another. This will be a slow process. I believe Doll will have this message embedded in his entire being, but will have to struggle to convey it to his human parents and the civilization into which he was born. This will take four books to accomplish, and we are looking forward to seeing how this task is accomplished. The book definitely have our attention and anticipation! - Don and Linda Stradley

Mr. Wells' style is refreshing. He artfully weaves vivid imagery and symbolism with a natural, unpretentious authorial voice. Mr. Wells avoids some of the more quotidian phrases with which readers are commonly assaulted, giving the story its own unique complexion.
In a world awash in World War 2 literature - fictional or otherwise - this storyteller's distinctive approach definitely makes Operation Wolfe Cub worth the read.

Book 2 carries the same suspense and captivation as Book 1. Although, a bit gory compared to the genre I generally read, the book has captured my attention and I am driven to read the next installment of the series to find out what is yet to come. H.C. Wells also does an exceptional job in tying in the history. Great read!

"Wolfe Odyssey: The Time to Tell" brings the series by H.C. Wells to a thrilling page-turner stage. In taking our now familiar boy character to Area 51, Wells unveils his expertise at bringing his readers to the edge of their seats as part of a much bigger plot. The story comes together with a combination of tense drama, action that is at times terrifying, and startling revelations that leave the reader anticipating Book III. I can't wait to see the movie!

I really enjoyed the first book, and was anxious for the story to continue in the second book. I was fortunate enough to have early access to this read, which allowed my curiosity to be satisfied sooner rather than later! I finished the book in under three days, as it was fast-paced and explosive things kept happening. This book did not go in the direction I anticipated, and while I am used to being right, I didn't mind being wrong this time because the direction was a good one. If you are a history buff, you'll pick up on several subtle details that really make the story almost believable and demonstrate how well-researched the book is. While the first book seemed mostly foundational, this book is much more intense in its action and you are hit hard with some gritty character details and emotional dialogue. Really pleased and I am looking forward to the next installment!
